Tonia Tecce, soprano

Tonia Tecce recently released her newest CD What A Wonderful World, a warm mix of classical favorites and popular songs from Broadway and Hollywood, arranged and orchestrated by Byron Olson and conducted by Ettore Stratta.

Ms. Tecce made her "stunning" New York Recital Debut at Carnegie Hall with Metropolitan Opera conductor Martin Rich, and later appeared in that same hall to honor the life of Maestro Rich with Metropolitan Opera singers Frederica von Stade, Harolyn Blackwell, Florence Quivar, Sherrill Milnes and William Lewis.

She made her Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts debut in âTonia Tecce Sings!â¦with guest artists International Tenor Stuart Neill and Acclaimed Baritone James Demler,â and returned to the Kimmel Center with Mr. Neill and Mr. Demler in âThe Stars Sing for Scleroderma,â where, one critic noted, âshe brought the appreciative crowd to their feet.â
Ms. Tecce performed with international soprano Diana Soviero in Philadelphiaâs Academy of Music, and with Peter Nero and Stuart Neill in An Evening With Peter Nero at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia.

Operatic and orchestral appearances include Opera Company of Philadelphia, Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Peter Nero and The Philly Pops, New Jersey Pops, Newark Symphony, eighteen seasons with the Ocean City Pops, and Washingtonâs French Embassy, where she premiered a French composition by Marcel Farago. Critics agreed, âher warm and beautiful voice was a delightful addition to this event.â
