Anthony Wilson on guitar:
Anthony Wilson is one of the leading jazz musicians of his generation. Known for his imagination, maturity, and depth, the guitarist/composer/arranger has recorded eight critically-acclaimed solo albums since 1997, including his Grammy-nominated self-titled debut album.
A sensitive and gifted accompanist as well as a formidable soloist, Anthony Wilson has been an indispensable member of Diana Krallâs quartet since he joined her in 2001 for a series of performances at Parisâ Olympia Theater that were collected on the Grammy-winning CD/DVD âLive In Parisâ (Verve), already widely considered a classic. Recordings and performances during the past decade with Willie Nelson, Mose Allison, Bobby Hutcherson, Barbra Streisand, Madeleine Peyroux, Jessie Baylin, and Aaron Neville have continued to spotlight Wilsonâs growing artistry, musical flexibility, and improvisational authority. Greg Ellis on Drums and Percussion:
Los Angeles based Greg Ellis is a master drummer and multi-instrumentalist born and bred in Northern California. He has recorded and performed with some of the greatest musicians and drummers in the world, including Indian tabla virtuoso Ustad Zakir Hussain, Bickram Ghosh, famed Japanese taiko drummers KODO, Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, Brazilian percussion master Airto Moriera, legendary Indian singer Laxshmi Shankar, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the San Francisco Symphony, South Africa's Amanpondo and M'abe Thobejane, as well as master musicians from Iran and Turkey. While also recording with diverse artists from Billy Idol to Beck, he co-founded his own world music group VAS, released four critically acclaimed albums on Narada World/EMI Records and a solo CD of his own compositions titled âKala Rupaâ. He is currently a member of the noted psy-trance act Juno Reactor. Ellis is also actively engaged in creating music with his multi-genre music collective known as o.r.e. His foundation became stronger under the guidence of Reggie Andrews, Don Harris and Frank Harris. While at Los Angeles City College he performed with other up and coming talented artists such as big band leader Leslie Drayton and Gerald Albright. With this jazz and improvisational exposure, Del soon began performing at the Playboy Jazz Festivals with Latin artist Willie Bobo. European tours with Lou Rawls and Les McCann were the next phase for Del. His experience grew from these associations and progressed to the recording studio. Included in his feature film soundtrack recording credits are Another 48 Hours, Panther, Fear of the Black Hat. Del's television commercial works include Round Table Pizza, Aunt Jemima Syrup, and Pacific Gas and Electric. Del Atkins journey continues to unwind from his recording and touring work with Dr. Dre, Ricky Jones and Patrice Rushen. Artists who have recorded his compositions include Norman Connors (Easy Living) Motown, and Ron Brown (From My Eyes-Only), Sire Records. Lionel Cole is a pianist, songwriter, composer, music editor, and music supervisor. He has served as a regularly touring member Mariah Carey's live band. Cole also partnered with Malcolm-Jamal Warner, to create the jazz and funk band Miles Long. The first album "The Many Facets of Superman" featured En Vogue's Cindy Heron and soul icon Teena Marie. Cole co-wrote the billboard chart topping single "Through the Rain" with Mariah Carey which appeared on Carey's ninth studio album Charmbracelet. The song peaked at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it hit number 1 on the U.S. sales and dance charts. Previously, Cole remixed the million selling cover single Hard To Say I'm Sorry by boy band AZ Yet. In 2010, Cole toured with 80's star Rickie Lee Jones as Drummer, Percussionist and multi instrumentalist. Michael recently recorded and mixed Anthony Wilsonâs brilliant CD âThe Power of 9â, with special guest Diana Krall.
Lionel Cole- Lead Vocals and Piano and Producer:
Lionel Cole is a pianist, songwriter, composer, music editor, and music supervisor. He has served as a regularly touring member Mariah Carey's live band. Cole also partnered with Malcolm-Jamal Warner, to create the jazz and funk band Miles Long. The first album "The Many Facets of Superman" featured En Vogue's Cindy Heron and soul icon Teena Marie. Cole co-wrote the billboard chart topping single "Through the Rain" with Mariah Carey which appeared on Carey's ninth studio album Charmbracelet. The song peaked at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it hit number 1 on the U.S. sales and dance charts. Previously, Cole remixed the million selling cover single Hard To Say I'm Sorry by boy band AZ Yet. In 2010, Cole toured with 80's star Rickie Lee Jones as Drummer, Percussionist and multi instrumentalist. From a storied musical family, he is the son of Freddy Cole, a Grammy nominated jazz vocalist, the nephew of Nat King Cole, and the cousin of Natalie Cole.
Cole's music work extends into film and television, he composed for the Tim Reid film Once Upon a Time...When We Were Colored and the Showtime series Linc's. A partial list of Artists that Cole has worked with include:
