ELECTRIO is the third solo cd from one of the top italian drummers: DAVIDE PETTIROSSI.
The music foundation of the cd is Electric Jazz, that has been so important for the evolution of improvised music, from the '70's till today. The compositions of the cd have been entirely written and arranged by Davide, without any compromise, and perfectly represent his musical world.
The concept of the cd was inspired by one of mankind's greatest discovery: electric phenomenon and electric current, so vital for today's lifestyle that we don't even âconsiderâ it anymore.
The âelectric component is inside this musicâ, as a metaphor of the âtensionâ that triggers creativity.
The cd is totally âliveâ performed, and proves the blend of energy, motivation, abilities and interplay of the trio, that has been playing togheter for years and in different settings, both electric and acoustic.
This cd is a totally self produced, from the recording through the mixing, mastering and promotion, accomplished in Davide's recording studio in Rome, Italy.

ELECTRIO è il terzo cd solo di uno tra i più interessanti batteristi italiani: DAVIDE PETTIROSSI.
Musica nuova che continua il discorso già iniziato con il fortunato precedente âQuartette électriqueâ, ma che ora si rinforza di maggiori spazi solistici e di composizioni senza compromessi. Protagonista è quel Jazz elettrico che tanto ha segnato lâevoluzione della musica strumentale improvvisata dagli anni settanta ad oggi. Pettirossi propone una musica non stanziale ma coraggiosa e in costante movimento, che come minimo comun denominatore ha Jazz, Funk e Latin. Il concept del cd è stato ispirato da quella che è una tra le più importanti scoperte del genere umano: il fenomeno elettrico e la corrente elettrica, così vitali per lo stile di vita attuale e così radicati nel più piccolo gesto quotidiano da non percepirne quasi più la presenza.
âLa compomponente elettrica è dentro questa musicaâ, come metafora della âtensioneâ nell'impulso e nell'atto creativo.
Il cd è totalmente âliveâ, a testimoniare l'energia, la motivazione, le capacità e l'interplay che il trio esprime in studio così come dal vivo, suonando insieme da anni nelle più disparate situazioni, sia elettriche che acustiche.
