I wrote "Snake In The Grass" in 1977 about a guy who could not find a girl friend, because all the good ones were taken. He became a snake in the grass and hit on other's girls and finally found one. I recorded an alnum in 1979 entitled "Want My Love," and hired the best studio musicians, studio and producer - Bruce Dees - in Nashville. I was told to record the title song as a disco tune, as that was the big format at the time. We released it with an independent distributor, and, a week later a New York DJ said Disco is dead and smashed all his disco records. Shortly after disco died! I'll never forget asking a girl to dance in Ft. Lauderdale, and, she said, "Your're too big and I don't know you." I was 6'l" and 195. That's not too big! I went back to my motel room and turned on TV and there was David Cassidy, of the Partredge Family singing. He was one of the greatest rock stars at the time. He looked he weighted every bit of 135 lbs. and girls were swamping him. I thought I'll write a record a few songs and then people will know me. I did and it helped me get introduced.
