Portland native, Breanna Paletta, who has made a mark as Rye Hollow's lead vocalist, is stepping out on her own with a new solo debut. Her planned EP has grown into a full length album with a backing band made up of a group of friends and some quirky instrumentation.

The daughter of a blues musician and a stay-at-home mom, Breanna was raised on the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt and Keith Green. Later, it was artists like The Cranberries, Alison Krauss and Patty Griffin that heavily influenced the pop/alt-country songwriter. Throw in a little suburbia, an almost painfully shy childhood, a love for words and their meanings, a broken family, some good friends, a dash of wonder and a generous helping of heartbreak and you've got one hell of a recipe for authentic, emotive songs.

Breanna has shared the stage with Stephanie Schneiderman, Tony Furtado, the Cowboy Junkies and Tori Amos; her voice has been heard on KINK radio and several Deep Roots compilations, which pair aspiring High School writers with Portland musicians.
