Details:
This is the long awaited CD for Southern California based blues/rock band Brothers N Blues. Just released in January 2005, this self-produced EP is already getting airplay on blues radio stations in US, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Holland, Spain, Australia, Croatia, and The Netherlands

Here's what they're saying!

PETER "BLEWZZMAN" LAURO (www.mary4music.com) Florida

"..Although the answer was quite apparent, the first few times I listened to "That's Alright", by Brothers N Blues, I found myself looking for words to describe the type of music I was listening to. Honestly, the lyrics had thrown me for a loop. Was this 'Gospel music' that had me in this marvelous groove? Could "Spiritual music' have me moving the way I am? Is 'world music' really this cool? ... And this is all done while musically playing some very good and very serious Blues...
..On the track titled CALLING MY LORD, Mark sings of having his children taken away. His hurt is not only felt in the lyrics, but in his voice as well. To the listener, there can absolutely be no doubt as to if this was a real life experience or not. You can feel the answer. Marks' heart and soul aren't shedding all the tears, his guitar does lots of crying too. Lyrically, musically and emotionally this is a masterful track.
The title track, THAT'S ALRIGHT, has a "Johnny B. Goode", fifties rockin' blues sound to it. Of course there's lots of ripping guitar by MARK and hot sax solos by DAVID. "DON'T UNDERSTAND IT" features everyone right on the mark, but this one is really about the keyboards. MIKE will have you thinking he's got four hands on this one....
...Unfortunately, this CD is only an EP containing 5 tracks. I hope to someday see BROTHERS N' BLUES put out a full length product containing more excellent material similar to what's on "THAT'S ALRIGHT".

PETER 'CORNBREAD' COHEN editor of STLBlues.net St. Louis, Missouri

"...Calling My Lord- slow electric blues with a killer guitar solo, wow
That's Alright- a fast paced rockabilly tune reminiscent of the fifties, as an added bonus we get a Chuck Berry like guitar solo. Need Your Love- sax throughout and a distorted guitar solo that rocked. I'd bet there was no one left sitting for this performance. I'm Lookin' Up- primarily bass and drums, the vocals were rich and soulful, the backing vocals were a great touch... ..These guys were the first I heard and a source of motivation & inspiration for me. I hope to share the stage with the brothers at some point soon. Until then, let's get them to the Midwest! Hey guys, get back to the studio and finish this up! I want more...buy their CD and spread the word
RATING: Excellent, short, but real sweet. 4.7337 (out of possible 5)

KJELL ANDREASSEN, host of "Black Roots" Radio Holstebro 97.4 FM Denmark

" Brothers NBlues is worth waiting for, soon theyll have to release an album. When you listen to their music, you have to move , and the guitar is played in a way I´ve only heard a couple of times, SRV and Walter Trout, they could also make the guitar talk"

"EL GRANDE" from Belgium blues newsletter (www.bobtjeblues.com)

"....'That's Alright' is a demo with five songs, and according to me they're about ready to record a full album. The cd starts out nice with a Texas blues like SRV, titled 'Calling My Lord'. Founding member Mark Sells talks about the time people denied him the right to see his children and about how much pain this brought up. It's also clear that the band plays Christian Blues. After that the cd continues with 'That's Alright'. This song opens with beautiful vocals for two voices and swings a lot. This is blues-rock, and that's just what Brothers 'n Blues is all about: 'guitar inspired blues-rock', with a prominent role for Hammond and tenor sax. Mark Sells has already been justly compared with people like SRV, Carlos Santana, and Eric Clapton. His playing is intensive and comes straight from the heart. For the moment there's some interest from promoters in Canada, Italy, Denmark and even Belgium... I would say, get these guys over here, because they truly are a great band to be...."

MLADEN (MIKE) LONCAR host of Rock Eye Radio-Krizevci 96.6 FM Croatia

"..."Calling My Lord..."Wow people! If you thought this is a band from delta Mississippi, you are terribly wrong! This blues comes from L.A., and it's performed by very talented musicians
"Need Your Love" As you could hear in this song..this is not just blues. In their music Mark and the gang also use musical elements from many different kinds of music. "I'm Lookin Up" This song presents a typical example of the way people experience the blues. A really special performance by Brothers N' Blues. That's Alright/Don't Understand It...both of these songs present a true example of full feelings of blues jam sessions. These musicians put all their feelings and all their souls into this performance, and interlude between the rhythm section is especially overwhelming. Mark Sells, vocalist and guitarist, and the rest of the band contribute significantly to the overall blues atmosphere of the entire album.
Dear blues fans, I warmly recommend this album and I hope this isn't the last time we'll be hearing of Brothers N' Blues. Don't forget them!"

MARTIN 'LESTER' DUNSTAN host of JuzBlooz, 103.7 FM Warrnambool, Australia

...Thanks for the CD...I have added the CD to my playlist and already used Track 1 'Calling My Lord' twice. Some great intense music here!..

------------------------------------------------------------

Brothers N' Blues was formed in Southern Calif in 1999. Led by guitarist/songwriter Mark Sells on the Fender Strat, their live performances and music has been likened to Stevie Ray Vaughan/Double Trouble, Hendrix, Santana, F. King, Clapton, C. Duarte, Trower, Collins, Buddy Guy, & Ronnie Earl.
The band includes Mark Sells-guitar, Bill Leyva-bass, Andy Mendoza-drums, Mike Rincon-Hammond B3, and David Urquidi-Sax.
Some notable performances for BnB over the last 5 yrs include several appearances at BB Kings Blues Club, Los Angeles. Blues great Tommy Castro personally invited Mark & BnB to open for him on New Years Eve 2001 at BB Kings. BnB was also the "house" band at BB Kings "Blues brunch" for several weeks. BnB has also appeared on various local/national Cable TV shows. On one national Cable TV show called "Music Thru the Years" BnB was a featured guest along with Ike Turner and Alex Ligertwood (former singer for Santana)
All the members of BnB have a strong faith in Christ, and the band continues to play at church outreaches, charity fund-raisers, car shows, prisons, biker rallys, etc.
Their new self-produced CD "That's Alright" is meant to capture a taste of the music & message of hope that BNB has been delivering to appreciative audiences for the past 5 years.
