It is the rare singer/songwriter that achieves overnight success. Most have to fight tooth and nail for years to ever catch a break. But these years of persistence, dedication and raw determination are what define us. Carrie Cunningham is no stranger to the hard work necessary to become a top country artist/songwriter. For years, Carrie has been dreaming of following in the footsteps of her country music idols. She fondly remembers nights spent in Nebraska dancing to the soft medleys of Kenny Rogers and harmonizing along with Barbara Mandrel and Dottie West. Determined to make her dream a reality, Carrie has spent the last decade perfecting her skills as an artist in the studio and on stage.

In 2000, Carrieâs main focus was on recording a solo album. During this time she stated that singing a song she has written is like âsharing [her] inner secrets with the world.â It was during this process that she was introduced to singer/songwriter, Andy Browning. Their undeniable chemistry was too much to ignore. Carrie, therefore, postponed her solo dreams in order to collaborate exclusively with Andy. For three years, Carrie and Andy traveled the Northwest as Mirror Image. Mirror Image gained tremendous attention while performing several 9/11 Benefit Concerts and appearing regularly on local radio and television stations. After three years of intense musical growth, Carrie and Andy parted ways.

Taking a break from the road, Carrie aspired to begin work again on her solo album. Fate would interrupt this dream once more. Latigo Lace, a well established country band from the Northwest, heard Carrieâs voice and insisted she join the band. Latigo Laceâs persistence finally paid off. Carrie agreed to be their lead vocalist. Carrie performed with Latigo Lace until the spring of 2006 when she was approached by independent record label, Divulge Records. Divulge Records, seeing huge potential in Carrieâs music, offered her a solo record deal.

Today, Carrie has just finished putting the final touches on her debut solo album, Honeysweet. Honeysweet is chalked full of original tunes featuring intense harmonies. âI have waited so long to record these songs; I canât wait to finally let the world hear them.â Each song is sure to leave country music fans begging for more; which should be expected considering each tune was hand penned by the expert herself, Carrie Cunningham.
