Chris Rico makes an artful blend of musical influences to produce his first solo album. With influences from Blues, Country and Alternative musical styles and his family's Spanish and American lineage. Chris breaks from his days with the noted New Orleans heavy metal band "Misled" to explore his soul through his music.

Making the change from his heavy metal days, Chris has given us the opportunity to enjoy an evolved, more mature look into life through his music. Playing all the instruments and writing all the music and lyrics, Chris shows us his diversity and ability as a songwriter and musician. This acoustic CD carries you away through emotion.

Chris' first band "Misled" started in the early 90's and hit the heavy metal scene with a vengence with songs such as: Save MeFrom Myself, Sweet Misery, and Find My Way, Chris and "Misled" rocked the local New Orleans clubs. Playing at venues like Jimmy's and the Howlin' Wolf, the crowds came and so did an offer from SireRecords (Warner BrothersIndependent Label).

Given the free timeto explore his interest and direction, full time music was put on the back burner, but not forgotten. After some life changes, the music could be silent no longer. Writing some thirty songs in just four months and having a new personal outlook, Chris returns with his acoustical debut.This soulful album crosses boundaries of music defining it's own style by blending all the musical influences of his past.

Chris is now back with "Misled" playing the local music scene. A new album from "Misled" should be out by mid-summer. Chris is also putting the fininshing touches on his next Acoustic CD entitled "Her Melancholy Smile".
