Listening to West Coast rap pioneers like NWA, DJ Quik, Tupac, Suga Free, E-40, Snoop, and many others, definitely had an affect on the this Bakersfield born gal. Addicted to their raw expression, JFP soon found her own voice first in the form of poetry, but mixing them with hard hitting beats was only a matter of time. With the release of Dr. Dre.âs The Chronic (1992) and Snoop Doggâs DoggyStyle (1993) rap was reborn with and enticing fresh sound that would impact an entire generation.
