Jump Start My Day, put in short, is mainly a result of me, Jaron Pearlman, Being way too dysfunctional to actually participate in a real band. I play all the instruments, write the lyrics, record, and mix what you hopefully are hearing right now.

I am 18 years old, and have been playing drums for 10 years. In the past five I took up bass and guitar.

Music is life to me, there is nothing more important or rewarding than just having your music shared and heard by people, be they supportive or criticizing. I also like pina coladas and long walks on the beach.

The purpose behind this CD for me is explained in two reasons. First I really believe i have something to offer the current music scene. Something new, and an alternative to the monotonous pop song style, or even the now cliche, but ever popular, pop divas and rappers. I think I have something different, although unrefined, to offer.

The inspiration I have used was all thanks to a girl i dated (boy is that overused) and lost . Most of the songs seem to be about her, or invlove memories of her. Taste Of the West Coast for example is about a day we shared in Santa Monica, the only time I have ever been to the west coast, and we watched a band play under a tree smoking clove cigarettes (although we never really smoked them. they just taste good). Seriously the whole song is about that.

The story is the classic boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, girl falls for boy, boy turns into raving lunatic sociopath, girl leaves boy, boy turns into reclusive brooding raving lunatic sociopath and makes a CD, then girl shows slight interest in boy again. Its been used in God knows how many disney movies but hey, everyone likes a good story.
