well i started out back in the day playing the guitar at the age of 11.i took lessons from all kinds of different teachers to learn as much as i could,so i can get out and start playing in a band.i started at 15 playing in a rock band up until i was around 20.then i decided to take a break from the rock thing because i was getting tired of that type of writing. then one day i went to check out a bar that had country music and people were singing kereoke and i thought wow this is what i want to do and from that day on i was hooked on country music.from the age of 21 and on i started messing around with playing along with the radio station that played country trying to better myself in that style.i wrote around 15 songs and a bunch of ½ writen songs from 21 up until i was around 30. then i went into the recording studio to record what i had so far.i called an old band mate/friend steve roach to ask him who he knew for a good recording studio,he told me matt mercado would be a good choice(formally of mind bomb)i thought this would be a good choice,seeing he was known for writing great hits and went on tour and knew some people in the buisness.my first cd a 3 song experiment in 2004 wasânt as easy as i thought. after the completion of that first demo i showed it around to all kind of different people and got a lot of different reactions.i thought it would be all positive but to my surprise some people had some negative but contructive opinions on what i should change and what i should have the next time when i record.well that didânt hold me down,i took what they said and turned the negative into a positive.using their critisizum for a learning toolâ¦i thought i would do another cd but wait until i wrote more songs.after my first cd wasânt what i wanted i started writing more songs.i went from 15 songs to having 65 song within the 2 year periodâ¦the negative response from my first cd lit a fire in me,,i just kept writing song after song,the next one better the last.it was like god was handing me these songs that just kept coming,i didânt stop to think of how or why i just took what i had and ran with it.after my onslaught of new songs have been written i thought now this is the best time for me to record a new cd.i made some phone calls and rounded up some really talented guys(musicians and had them work with me on my new stuffâ¦it took awhile for the new cd to get off the groung because i had to make some changes in the musicians i had playing on it.i then hired a new drummer and had him redo all of the drums on the cd ,which ment the whole cd had to be redoneâ¦..but i didânt fear that again i took a negative and turned it into a positive.rehired all the same musicians(except the original drummer)and had them come in to redo their partsâ¦i have to say it turned out better then i expected everything went smooth and i finally finished my new 11 song cd titled (days like this)and so far so goodâ¦i think this is the best work i ever done up to this point.and it can only get betterâ¦so thanks for taking the time to read a little about me and if you dig the new cd then get back to me and lets talk. thanks to all who belives in me and my music.
