Since the 2002 release of their debut album Midas Well Get Drunk the LACS which consists of artists/producers Clay Sharpe (Uncle Snap), Brandon Herndon (Yocal), and Brian King (Captian Kang) have started to make a name for themselves in the independent music world. Their music which draws heavy on the dirty south movement with the rock / country traditions of the South has supplied them with a sound that has no comparison to other artists in their genre. The LACS which deprived its name from the initials of Brandon's and Brian's middle names along with Clay's middle and last name. Its a great representation of their friendship and their commitment to producing LAC music. The LACS after getting alot of respect from their first album agreed to remain independent to create their own label. So in the summer of 2003 with the help of Heath (Middle G) Side Ya Mouth Records was born. LACOLOGY is the album folks in the 912 and across the south have been waiting for. Its promoted fully by Side Ya Mouth Records and its the album that put the 912 on the map. That being said work never ceases in this business and the new album LACADEMICS drops this fall with the new single "GA" featuring Georgia's own Pastor Troy.
