I was never your age is the second CD from Woodstock Ontario's Fancy Dancers. Their first CD, Pagan Love Songs was issued in Nov 2008 and has been a steady seller since. No singles were issued from the first CD, instead a swath of singles were issued after, under various band names, but all incarnations involving singer Thom Ryerson and guitarist Stan V. Antone. The lead single from I was never your age will be Surreal, which finds it's influences from both Nirvana and The Cure. Surreal is one of eight new songs by the Fancy Dancers. The other new songs include three acoustic epics, Link, The Dominatrix and Windows. Tomato was recorded live at a Campus Radio Station in Waterloo, ON. Sticky Stuff, Sex Camper Weekend and I was never your age round out the new songs, three new fun little rockers. As well as the 8 new Fancy Dancers songs, this disc also includes six singles from other bands that features Thom and Stan.
Small Town (Oct 2010) is by the Absolute Beginners, and a great rocking crowd pleaser about living in a rural small town. Witness for the Prosecution have two singles, Not your toy (Feb 2011) and Ab lib to fade (Apr 2011). Not your toy is loud and fast while Ad lib to fade is softer and live. Owen have a great hit with Slacker Anthem (Apr 2011) and is gaining radio play as we write. Two Evils offer up That power over me (Oct 2010) which is another hard rocking crowd favorite. Thomas Thomas provide a slice of 80's retro with Going Down (Sept 2011).
