Murphyâs Law? Yeahâ¦thatâs Peaceable Jones. Whenever we get together, whether itâs for practice or a show, itâs always fast, frenzied and fun. Things break. We had no choice but to title the CD Murphyâs Law, after a series of strange experiences during its recordingâ¦like our drummer (who yeah, is a madman anyway) mutilating four snares in the course of a 45 minute performance, our rhythm guitarist watching his favorite Fender fly through the air and smash after a straplock gave way during a guitar spinâ¦or the tubes going out on our bassistâ amp minutes before a major competitionâ¦we get lost and somehow manage to find our way anyhowâ¦and hell, itâs an adventure!

Weâre from Californiaâs Central Valley, where nothing ever really happens, so we just decided we would MAKE it happen. Shawn Reynolds (our lead guitarist and vocalist) and Aaron Richardson (our rhythm guitarist and vocalist) formed Peaceable Jones after 4 years with another local band that had a parting of the ways. Jason Christensen signed on immediately to take on the bass position. When Shookah! (Ben Isganitis) joined the band a year later after our first drummer took a walk, it was clear to all of us that we finally had the perfect combination. We got our perfect fit, and sound, and the results have been AWESOME.

We love music, we love our fans and most of all we love playing live and getting the crowd involved in the show. We call ourselves a rock band, with heavy punk influences and we DO love to ROCK. We grew up on Green Day, the Bouncing Souls, Social D, Nirvana, Metallica and so many more that youâll probably pick out in our style. We have a lot of original material, but when we play live we also love playing quirky covers that no one else plays from the 50âs and 60âs all the way up through the current day. You never know what weâre gonna do up there but you always know a good time will be had by all.

When you look inside the CD, youâll see a ton of pictures of our friends, our families and our fansâ¦from as far away as Korea and Germany. We thank every one of them for helping us get this far, and we especially dedicate it to our friend Aaron W. Simons who lost his life fighting in Iraq in spring 2006â¦we will never forget you!!!
