Texas-born Michael Tomlinson was raised in Amarillo, moving to Austin in his twenties to find a way to begin his recording career. While visiting Seattle in the early 80s, he wrote a song there that was released on local radio without his knowing, becoming the most requested song in the stationâs history and opening the door for his move to the Pacific Northwest and the beginning of a concert and recording career.

In the mid-80s he released his first album, Run This Way Forever, which sold over 100,000 units on his own Desert Rain label. He next signed a deal for worldwide distribution and put out his second album, Still Believe, which scored a Top 10 Adult Contemporary hit with the song, Dawning on A New Day.

That album was followed by the recordings, Face Up in the Rain and Living Things, both of which received much radio play on AAA and NAC stations. To the surprise of many listeners and programmers, Michael then left the traditional music business and went back to putting out his own records on his small Deser Rain label. He released his first solo acoustic CD, At Your House and then followed two years later with a CD he co-produced with songwriter/producer Daniel Deardorff, entitled, Calling Me Back to the Wilds.

In the years since, Michaelâs continued to play a handful of concerts each year and to write and produce new albums every few years. He is currently working on a new release to be finished summer of 2007.
