Virginia Wagner released her debut CD, BROKEN HEARTED ANGEL, on Anvil Records in May 1994.

This CD was IMMEDIATELY EMBRACED by folk radio programmers and DJs across the country and tracks were aired on over 400 radio stations.

RICH WARREN, a DJ on WFMT-Chicago, wrote of BROKEN HEARTED ANGEL in SING OUT! magazine saying, "The poetry in these songs rates a cut above the crowd... at least one brillant image illuminates most of the songs like a flashbulb." He concluded his review by saying, "Wagner is a find among singer/songwriters."

DIRTY LINEN MAGAZINE called Ms. Wagner "an inventive and interresting singer/songwriter, well worth listening to."
