A Day In September contains 6 instrumental piano songs I recorded back on September 20th, 2001. While two of the songs are based on a couple of melodic ideas I had at the time ("Deep Inside" and "Say Goodbye"), the rest are actually free-formed improvisational pieces that came about while I was beginning to really explore the piano keyboard. The mood and tone of these songs reflect some of the emotions I was feeling at the time due to some major life changes I was going through, and partially in response to the September 11th attacks.

Much like my life at the time, this collection shows that while I may have had some idea of what I wanted to do and what was going to happen, for the most part I was just wandering around a bit trying to find my way.
