Xavier Losada (1979), musical producer and theater composer, presents his first record titled Escritorio.

Escritorio is made up of eight themes conceived as the main chapters of a story. Each one, separately, tells a personal history; together they narrate minutes, years, and even centuries of a life accompanied by dreams, disappointment, distress, hope, and satisfaction.

Inspired by diverse artistic expressions and developed between 2003 and the 2004, Escritorio arises from the necessity of its author to express, through music, the sensations found in literature, music, and daily life. Each track includes the text that narrates its history, taking the listener by the hand between the shades of this production.

Among the works that influenced Losada, he recalls those with an intense intellectual effort: Persecuta and Tango: Zero Hour, of Astor Piazzolla; El hacedor and Historia universal de la infamia, Jorge Luis Borges; Sociedades Americanas, of Simón Rodriguez; the short stories of Arturo Úslar Pietri; and El camino de la alteridad, Antonio Lopez Ortega.

About Xavier Losada

Losada began his musical career as guitarist and composer in the rock band HD in 1995. Later, he worked as a composer and live musician of Kaiser Soze Teatro (KST), a theater group led by Juan Souki. El verdadero Inspector Hound (Best Original Score, Festival Jose Angel Porteacero, 1998) was his first composition for theater and the beginning of a very productive relation with the novel director.

Among the pieces that counted with the musical participation of Xavier Losada are: Klown (KST, 2001); 10 (Enescena, 2002) for which he obtained Best Original Score in the Cinates Festival; Tell 2,2 (KST, 2003); Atra Bilis (Festival the International of Theater of Caracas â Tinta Fresca, 2004); Love (Caracas - New York Collective, 2005 with two seasons in the city of New York, 2006); and Crime & Punishment (Columbia Stages, 2007)

Simultaneously, Xavier developed his facet as a musical producer taking the reins from the albums Suburbia by Embas (2006); Skama Sweet Selection of the reggae/dub band Skama Sweet Selection (2007); and Blood & Karma (2007), debut album of the dark metal band Triad.
