Girls Princess Coat and Matching Hat Crochet Pattern

Crochet pattern to make the English style fitted princess coat and matching hat for a little girl in size 4-6, as shown in photo. A comfy yet classic design that displays well bred simplicity for a totally adorable look.

SizeCoat: 4 6 Girls, with hat to fit 21 inch head.

Suggested Materials for this 1939 patternJ & P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 10 balls of White or Ecru, or 12 balls of any color for coat; 2 balls of White or Ecru, or 2 balls of any color for hat. Milwards steel crochet hook, No. 9. Buttons: 6, size ¾ inch diameter for coat. Millinery wire: 1 yard. Grosgrain ribbon 5/8 inch wide of a contrasting color: 2 ½ yards.

Gauge11 groups makes 2 inches and 6 rows make 1 inch; 11 ch sts to one inch.

Groups: Insert hook in 5th ch from hook and pull loop through, * insert hook in next ch and pull loop through, thread over and draw through 2 loops, thread over and draw through remaining loops (one group made). Ch 1 insert hook in next ch and pull loop through. Repeat from * across.
