Out of the chaos and confusion of modern day Hip-Hop comes a focused and calming influence. Brihanu, a no-nonsense native Philadelphian MC presents his debut LP, "Paradigm Poetry." Brihanu uses his socialist philosophy as the foundation for a potent and scathing critique of politics, social conditions and economics.

Brihanu is one of the members of Biomimic Productions, a Hip-Hop Group/ Production company that uses innovative beats to showcase unparalleled lyricism. The self-produced "Paradigm Poetry" uses elements from African drums and classical samples to hardcore, head-nodding vintage Hip-Hop beats to exhibit Brihanu's complicated multi-layered lyrics.

Growing up in a strong musical family tradition, Hip-Hop influenced Brihanu's life from the beginning. However, as in all things, he became a student of music and ventured into classical, jazz, rock and the blues. Brihanu's message transcends the music due to his positive and uplifting lyrics. He is a public school teacher in Philadelphia and his love for African people worldwide comes through in his songs. "Paradigm Poetry" represents a refreshing change to the drugs, guns, materialism and exploitation of women that is unfortunately too common in Hip-Hop today.
