My style is country pop and country rock.
10 MP3 Songs
EASY LISTENING: Love Songs, COUNTRY: Country Pop
Details:
I was born in Dothan, Al. and my birthday is July 31st. I am a leo so I guess that's why I like the limelight and being onstage as much as I do. We lived in Al. until I was sixteen. Then we moved to Florida. I was already learning to play guitar when we moved. I got my first guitar, a Sears Silvertone, when I was fourteen. My sisters swear that I drove them insane playing the same thing over and over again. I was pretty sure that it was necessary to do that.
In high school, I met some other musicians and we formed a band and named it the FFA String Band. We played for a few local dances. That was my first experience playing for a live audience.
After high school, I woke up one morning in Cape May, NJ. Yep! I had joined the U.S. Coast Guard. I ended up making it a career. Something that I have never regretted. So how could I have a career in the Coast Guard and play music too? It was easy. I played weekend gigs. Here's a list of some of the places where I played. Morehead City, NC., Charlotte, NC., Charleston, SC., Myrtle Beach, SC., Portsmouth, VA., Norfolk, VA., Virginia Beach, VA., Yorktown, VA., Miami, Fl., Key Largo, Fl., and Islamorada, Fl.
After retiring from the Coast Guard, I attended The University of South Florida in Tampa, Fl. I graduated from there with a degree in education with a concentration in Physics. While attending USF, I played music in Orlando, Fl. on the weekends.
After graduating from USF, I taught high school science for a little while. While teaching, I formed yet another band. It was a rather large band complete with a horn section. We played Classic Rock & Roll. The band consisted of a core of adult players augmented with students from the high school band and chorus.
I left my teaching position because an opportunity presented itself for me to earn more money. I sailed in the Merchant Marine as a Radio Electronics Officer. I saw the world! One tour of duty
I ended up at the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean on a pre-positioning ship. There I joined in with the local island band.
I have been writing songs for some time now and with my background in music and electronics, it was a natual progression to end up learning as much as possible about recording, mixing and producing. and that's where I am now.
