After starting a 50âs band called âBlue Suede Buickâ in 1996 and knocking out the oldies in the San Diego area. Milton Staver and Rufus Perry collaborated on the âDetourâ project in 1998. Detour is a very listenable blend of rockabilly and folk rock with an occasional touch of grunge!

The Detour album is now available and sounds the echoes of universal social commentary without expressing a specific opinion. Itâs just really good traditional rock and roll with some good alternative rock ballads mixed in.

Milton as the lead vocalist, lyricist and rhythm guitarist and has been described as chronic and contagious both motivating for his band mates and entertaining for the live audiences he performs for. Miltonâs endless drive and attention to detail can be enjoyed in this album.
Rufus Perry is a lead guitarist and San Diego native who has spent the last 35 years working the Los Angeles/Ventura music scene then on out to New Mexico and all points in between. This hot rod guitarist/vocalist adds an awesome blend of riffs and licks to everything he touches and the Detour project is no exception.
