Hello Everyone. My Name is Paul Blackketter. This is the second cd that I have released through CD Baby. We are now in the studio working on our 3rd cd. We were hoping to be able to have at least 5 cd's available by this summer, but being what studio time is, it seems that no matter how hard you try to get from point A to point Z, it takes how long it takes. Being that we are also gigging that is another thing that takes time away. We have no shortage of original music. My brother and I have played all of our lives and we now have a venue (Thanks to CD Baby) to release these songs. We also now have a band together that is TOTALLY capable of high production and we plan on continuing this.
I didn't want to do a lot of name dropping here, (although I could fill this page with all of the incredible peaple and gigs that have come my way.) however, I will mention a few things about this here, being that I am grateful to these people and places, and am proud to know them. My good friend Izzy Ozborne (A fantastic tribute band that are all INCREDIBLE musicians!) has helped me in many ways, including getting to play at the Oakland Coliseum more than once, and have been asked to come back.
We are playing a few concerts this summer that are being extremely well advertized.(nationwide publicity,actually) we have had some airplay with some of our songs and hope to get more as we keep producing albums. Thanks in large part to our bass guitar player Chase Reno. Chase is an amazing young musician with an astute comprehension of music and an approach to music that is mature way beyond his years. I feel it a priveledge and an honor to get to play with him. Not that I don't feel this about this entire band, I DO! Ken Mangold on harp has given us some incredible sounds that we would not achieve without him. I have always LOVED playing music with my brother. But, everyone that knows us, know that!
As I have stated we will have more music coming in the future.(We literally have over a thousand original tunes.)Now if we can just find the time to keep producing them. Thankyou, Paul Blackketter
