Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Claire Wyndham has been described as a "melodically gifted songstress." This pop/rock princess has the voice of an angel and draws influence from likeminded artists such as Michelle Branch and Matchbox 20.

Details:
Described as a "melodically gifted songstress with a big future," Australian singer/songwriter Claire Wyndham has been turning heads since her first public performance in 2002. Within twelve months she had played showcases at AustraliaÕs premier music venue, "The Basement," performed at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival along with the likes of Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and Kasey Chambers, had a song included on the soundtrack of Aussie surf film "Liquid Bridge," and professionally recorded five of her songs with producer Chris Gray. Not bad Ð this is one young lady who doesn't muck around.
In 2004, "Perfect," one of the songs recorded with Gray, reached the finals of the Jaxter Artist Awards, as well as charting on numerous music websites around the world. She also released a radio single in 2005, "Here was Blue" to NSW radio, which over 50 stations picked up and played on high rotation. Most recently, Claire had two songs nominated for Female Singer/Songwriter of the Year at the 2006 Los Angeles Music Awards, and she is receiving strong rotation on internet radio all over the world.
2006 was a busy year for Claire with the recent completion of her debut album. The album features a full production of 13 tracks, all written by Claire herself and a stellar cast of session musicians who have played with some of Australia's best artists and bands. Claire will be launching the album and The Basement with her full band on 24th April 2007.
One listen to this girl and you know she's got something to say. Her songs stay in your head long after the first listen. Her melodies are as catchy as pop can get; her voice angelic enough to get everybody's attention and her lyrics deep enough to evoke thought in the most cynical of listeners.
Now, on the eve of her first official release, Claire has come along way since that first performance. With an undeniable stage presence and incredibly comfortable in front of any type of audience, she's ready to do whatever it takes to follow her passion; she's just returned from the USA where she was the first Australian artist ever to be booked on The Rock Boat along with artists such as Emerson Hart (Tonic), Keith Kane (Vertical Horizon), Josh Kelley, Collective Soul and Sister Hazel.
Claire doesn't stand out because sheÕs trying to be something sheÕs not. She stands out because sheÕs honest. She sings the truth and her listeners relate to that. As Claire sings in her song "Here was Blue," 'There was hurt, there was pain, there was pleasure, there was rain, there was you,' At times she's heartbroken, at times she's ecstatic. And aren't we all?
