Only a few years ago, Courtney started writing her own music. She started singing for her church and leading worship just out of college. Courtney leads worship for many womenâs events and retreats, and also provides special music for weddings and other events.

Courtney released her first CD in June of 2006 selling nearly 300 CDs opening night. Many current CD listeners have said they continue to listen to the CD each day in the car, and many young kids say they know all the words to the songs.

Courtney continues to write and seek God's direction in her life. Balancing family and music can be challenging, but keeping the right perspective, praying and spending time reading the Bible helps guide her decisions and come up with new songs.

Her song "Redeemed" was #1 on the indieheaven.com radio chart for praise and worship, last November. Both "Redeemed" and "Go Before Me" were top 10 finalists at the Gospel Music Association/Worship Together Magazine song discovery contest.
"Just Want To Say" is a perfect song for a wedding or special event with its acoustic feel and soothing melody, while "Healing" is a song about dealing with loss of someone close to you, and how God can heal the wounds and give us hope in the midst of pain. Here is a line from the song âHealingâ- scars still tender to touch, a lifetime seems way too much, longing for the day You'll come for me.....Lord set me free." All the songs are purposful and deal with everyday life experiences through a Christian perspective.
