Ivet Fortun aka Cuban Babe "the Black Pearl of Reggaeton",was born in La Habana, Cuba. She left the island during the exile of 1994 with her mother and only brother. As a Reggaeton artist Ivet wants to communicate a different message that speaks about women in a more dignified way. She writes all of her songs and designs her own choreographies. Her strong but at the same time flirtacious personality sets her appart from the rest. From very early on she discovered her talent for writting. Like many other composers she started writting poetry. She has also trained as an actor and a ballerina.
