Deena Russo is a native New Yorker who started her singing career at the age of four. She is a versatile song stylist with an extensive repertoire including jazz, pop, rock, and rhythm and blues. Deena has extensive experience singing live at such prestigious venues as The United Nations Building, The Four Seasons Hotel, The Plaza and The Helmsley Hotel in New York City, The Venetian Hotel, MGM Grand ,Caesarâs Palace and the Hard Rock Hotel In Las Vegas, to name just a few. She travels all over the United States with her band and performs at many corporate and private functions as well as nightclubs. Deena is a seasoned studio vocalist as well. Some of her numerous recording credits includes singing for the movie and soundtrack of â Sinbadâ for Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks studios. Some of Deenaâs other recent credits include âIt Aint Good Enough For Youâ written by Steve Lang for the HBO series entitled â The Mind of the Married Man.â And âLet The Good Times Rollâ for the soundtrack of the Ron Howard/Imagine entertainment film âBeyond the Matâ. Her voice can also be heard on numerous radio and television commercials including most recently a national spot for The U.S. Marines. Deenaâs acting ability has landed her roles on television commercials, independent films and theatre productions in Los Angeles, CA. She has modeled in Los Angeles Magazine for The Fairmont Mirimar Hotel. Another one of Deenaâs talents is songwriting. One of her greatest accomplishments was when she co-wrote the Billboard number one hit song entitled âIf Wishes Came Trueâ for the pop group Sweet Sensation. This recording is on Atco/ Atlantic Records. Deena has also written songs with many other artists including Narada Michael Walden and placed the song âYouâve Got A Special Wayâ with Island Records recording artist Mica Paris. Deena has just completed her CD which is a mix of pop, jazz, and blues. It is entitled "You're My Greatest Miracle" and she is in the process of putting the live show together to promote it. Her goal in life is to do creative work that is inspiring to herself and others, and to enjoy the journey.
