Brent Moyer their producer, is currently performing in the new Richard Maltby Jr. production Ring Of Fire, the songs of Johnny Cash. The show is on the NYC Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. The cast is made up of 14 musician/actors who all participate at one time or another on stage singing, dancing and playing, and features 38 Cash songs including âCountry Boyâ, âA Thing Called Loveâ, âFive Feet High and Risingâ, âDaddy Sang Bassâ, âI Walk the Lineâ, âIâve Been Everywhereâ, âThe Man in Blackâ, and âHurtâ.

They met each other in voice lesions when Linda was 20 and Johnny was 21.
The making of âVeil of Timeâ is a commemoration of Johnny and Lindas wedding anniversary, and celebration of all their years together writing and playing music.

Johnny DOCK and Linda ZAPF have lived and kicked around the Delaware River Valley and Bucks County as their home base through their years. They met at voice lesions in Doylestown Pennsylvania, played and wrote music just about longer then they can remember.
With restless roots stretching back to traveling through North America together and apart. Johnny and Linda have experienced Americana first hand. In the 70âs, with the end of the Vietnam War the excitement of traveling to all the Continental cities and countryside, along with meeting people of different cultures and lifestyles have marked the soul of their song writing with passionate stories of the road and relationships. Their vocal harmonies and guitar playing blend to create a sound, that gives witness to their dedication of time together.

From 1973 to 1976 Johnny hitchhiked well over 35,000 miles through Mexico, the United States, and Canada, where his backpack, guitar, and dog Iva were his traveling companions.
Johnny likes referring to a CD, or album as a ârecordâ, âCause itâs a record of a period of time. For us itâs really a snapshot of deferent parts of our livesâ. â Veil of Timeâ, their newest recording is a commemoration of Johnny and Linda celebrating their relationship and musical experiences. Each song is a love song passing through the veil of time from the year when they met until now. Twenty five of the last twenty nine years has been grounded in nurturing their three children on the farm in Eastern Pennsylvania. âAn endeavor that never ends.â Says Linda.

In this age when relationships donât last and families are fragmented, to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary Johnny and Linda decided to go to Nashville and make a record of their songs instead of going on a lavish vacation and having a grand party.

Through all the years of struggle and success they always continued to write and perform music together. Now that kids are out of the nest and well on their own, Johnny and Linda are entering yet another season of life, their love of music together. The real essence of success behind their story is their commitment to family, the pursuit of the architectural design business (where they have been published in Architectural Digest, and Country Living magazines) and owning a well known restaurant and music venue (where they have regional and national talent perform) on the Delaware River in Easton Pennsylvania.

Finding the right producer for their record was easy. â When I heard Brent Moyers records years ago I thought to myself, âthis guy is a great producerâ. He has a great sound and creative beginnings, hooks and ends to the songs.â When Linda asked him if he would do it, he said, âyou betâ. Lucky for Johnny and Linda, Brent was in between the Buffalo NY and the NYC Johnny Cash Broadway Show. Timing was right and so was the magic.

âMaking this record in Nashville is what I call a Lifer.
Weâve been honored to work with some of Nashvilles great musicians and dear friends, Susan, Jumpinâ Johnny, and Brent. It is easy to see the synchronicity around what created this great event.

Making their new CD âVeil of Timeâ, is a milestone in Linda and Johnnyâs career. Doing a record in Nashville and working with producer Brent Moyer along with some of Nashvilleâs âA teamâ players like Tammy Rogers, Wanda Vick, Buddy Skipper, & Ron Krasinski, Pat âMacâ McInerney Also guest stars Susan Cowsill (From The Cowsills, who just released her new CD âJust believe Itâ) and Jumpinâ Johnny Sansone has all the makings for one fantastic record.
