Doug retired from the music business in 1995 after 25 years touring. He decided to put down the guitar and quit singing because he said "he was dog tired". Ten years later in 2005 he decided to return to music, but there was a huge change, his life and music would now be for the Lord. He picked up an acoustic guitar and started writing and then acquired a digital recording platform (Pro Tools), a Mac computer(Powerbook G4), a Mackie board and a variety of plug-ins. A keyboard, bass, electric guitar and sequencing software rounded out the tools. Then he sat down and started learning how to use these instruments and recording tools to create music and recorded the entire album in his bedroom. Praying nightly for help from God it eventually came together and with space and time constraints he finished his first album. Learning how to produce, mix, engineer, and write not to mention instruments he had never played was a giant learning experience (one he says won't end).


"If just one person can be reached through this music than itâs all been worth it! Music is a wonderful tool but you have to keep it in perspective because nothing is more important than the message - The Word Of God. I would just like to add that every night I pray to God for the Wisdom of His Holy Spirit in Jesus Name to guide me - for without Him I can do nothing".
