The East-Side Groove takes you through a unique musical journey through a world of upbeat rhythms, brassy horns and big bass... your destination, the polka. Do you think this is something your grandparents listened to? Not quite. What about "oom-pa-pa"? You won't find it here. Where's the dude in the lederhosen with the tuba? He doesn't live here anymore...
"Get Into The Groove" gives you the slightest sampling of what is surely to be something new and fresh to listen to. The boys in the band took five classics, cranked the juice and let them run. How can we describe what you'll hear? We can't, all we can tell you is that what started as something small has grown beyond proportion and is unlikely to be contained in the confines of this sample recording for much longer.
The band was formed in early 2001 and contains members who are no strangers to the music scene. They've performed individually with names such as Happy Louie, the New Brass, Heavy Chicago, The Ghostshadows*, and 12 time Grammy Winner Jimmy Sturr. Since it's creation, The East-Side Groove has performed throughout New England and is rapidly expanding its tour schedule to further reaches.
