Introduction:

Epidemic is an Israeli metal band that infuses the best of many metal subgenres from thrash metal to death metal and many others.

For the last six years weâve been roaming around the Israeli scene putting out concerts and demos and working on our music as hard as anyone can. The main problem about being a metal band in Israel and the lack of exposure, itâs hard to reach out to the right crowd due to the lack of metal exposure. So we fight on for recognition in our own scene and abroad.

Band History:

John Segal met Erez Simon in 2000 and together with a guitar player name Vlad they formed a punk metal band and named it "Epidemic". One year after they decided to take it more seriously. Vlad left, Joseph Everjill replaced him as a guitar player and basist Vova "Wolf" Kashirin joined the band.
The band's music had developed over the time and from pure punk metal they started playing Thrash-Death metal with influances like: Megadeth, Deicide, Atrocity, Death, and more.
The band switched line-ups several times, Joseph had joined the army and left after a year, regrouped with rest and today the band is in it's original line-up and recorded two Studio demo albums in the last two years. at 2005 they recorded their first demo "Evil against Evil" including 6 songs, and two more tracks (intro and outro) by the band's drummer, Simon. The demo was recorded and produced by Alex Kashirin, brother of vova and manager of the band at the time.
After they released the demo, they took a break for writing new meterial. in 2006 they realeased another studio demo, "Earth penitentiary". "Earth" was much more aggresive and uniqe, compared with "E.a.E". Today Epidemic is performing all over israel, including: tel-aviv; jerusalem, and all the biggest and famous rock clubs in israel. John and erez even played in the israely grind-core band: "Gore-Met", with members of israely Melodic-Death metal Band "Kna'an". in dec2006 the band recorded a new single ,"The Man That Kills Himself".
