ROCK: Progressive Rock, HIP HOP/RAP: Alternative Hip Hop
Details:
Fitzo Perfecto is the brainchild of Upstate New York's born and raised Lucas Brode. Beginning his musical exploration on percussion at the age of 9, Lucas switched his main instrument over to guitar by age 12 and began to perform all over New York State and Connecticut. As his musical abilities progressed, he become proficient at xylophone, drum set, auxiliary percussion, djembe, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drum programming, and keyboard instruments, as well as singing, rapping, and recording techniques to the extent where he was able to write parts and record on all instruments by the time he left high school in 2005.
Throughout his high school years, Lucas dabbled in many musical stylings from punk to jazz to rock to hip-hop, culminating in the formation of the The Abstract Truth (http://www.myspace.com/theabstracttruth) in 2004. In 2005, Lucas formed improvisational/experimental sound based groups The Spanish Mustache Trio and Rubbermat Trio, which have received critical acclaim with responses such as "What the hell is this?" by on-lookers. Lucas left Westchester County in fall 2005 to major in music at the Upstate Liberal Arts school, Skidmore College.
The Fitzo Perfecto project has been in effect since Lucas began his studies. Producing approximately three hours of demo material, Lucas then set his standards a little higher and aimed for a 2007 release of a Psychedelic/Indie Rock type record with hip hop and jazz rhythms sprinkled on top. This record is called "A Collection of Sounds From the Mindfuck", on which every single song was written, performed, recorded, and produced by Lucas Brode himself. The hype is building with new tracks available for listen-pleasuring on his web space (http://www.myspace.com/fitzoperfecto) including: "Earth Creatures", "Picket Up", and "Checkout What's Breathing" from the soon to be acclaimed record "A Collection of Sounds from the Mindfuck."
