Christian is a Southern California Native. His early childhood was a mix of Bob Seger, The Beatles, and various mellow songs. Later childhood was spent living to ZZ Top, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, and lots of Blues (during this period he was raised by his gangster uncle and the Hells Angels, they love that stuff). In his teens he got into Jethro Tull. No he cannot play the flute. Late teensâ¦back to the Blues. Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton were to be worshippedâ¦and whoâs this Otis Redding guy? Heâs the shizzle. 20âs (still there!!!) he got into punk, reggae, and metalâ¦NOFX, Toots, and Pantera.
His music is a blend of all the above and has expanded his horizons to include every genre of music. When you listen to him you hear mostly Rock, Soul, and Blues. Heâs been singing since the age of 2! Bands heâs been in since High-School include AM Wood, Umcommon Ideas, and Mack Daddy and the Hotbox. During college he played with Anything but 3 Bucks and toured California playing such clubs as the Coach House, the Ventura Theatre, Toes Tavern, Hoss Hogs, and the Coconut Teaser.
On his most recent musical project, Fistful of Leaves, he is honored to have recorded an EP with David Murray on bass (Beautimous), Paull Rubin on guitars (Pelikanesis), Dan Parslow on guitars (Anything but 3 Bucks, Swamp Daddies), Marc Mann on guitars, keys, and strings (George Harrison, Oingo Boingo, ELO), and Tony Brock on drums and production (Rod Stewart, The Babies).
Dan Parslow (Anything but 3 Bucks, Swampdaddy, Nervous Sheep) is the other half of FoL. An outstanding guitar player, he has collaborated with Christian for years, is the powerhouse of the live shows and will be featured on all future recordings.
"I Do" (The Wedding Song) was written specially for Christian's wife and was first performed a capella at the wedding ceremony featured on NBC's "The Real Wedding Crashers" TV show.
