Belgian artist Pierre Remy has been active for several years under this banner and has delivered several vinyl-only releases.
On his first cd-album on the Dutch label AKH Records, Remy finds himself among the spiralling worlds of modern and experimental electronic sounds. "Aliwen" is a 60+ minute yourney through several landscapes, that results in lightweighted industrial collages, melodical and downbeat dub and minimal percussive aural excursions.
Not making use of extended long dreaded passages, featuring steady rhythms and endlessly played chords, Fractional's variety of styles comes to the surface.

Pick out the best of the Intelligent Techno from Albion, for example, Autechre and Squarepusher, add some subtle elements, a pinch of the harshness of Muslimgauze and "Aliwen" proves to be Fractional's ideal showcase on this self produced first album.
