PRCB (Pop-Rock-Country-Blues). Music with a straight forward beat combining the elements of pop, rock, country and R&B. Strong, soulful vocals, catchy guitar-riffs, happy-tunes as well as gripping ballads.

Details:
George Sanford Jacksonâs first album â âAlrightâ has been released.
The album promises to please listeners who appreciate music combining the elements of pop, rock, country, folk, R&B and songs with a straight forward beat and catchy licks, as well as gripping ballads.
Jacksonâs strong, soulful voice with an unmistakable country touch, together with his talent of writing intuitive songs with clever, drawn from life lyrics, ensure a toe-tapping, passionate and exciting album.
The first song on this album âNothing Ainât Rightâ with itâs midtempo beat and cynical lyrics is followed by the bouncy sing-along tune âA Woman Needs A Manâ and the riff driven âAmazingâ. Jackson then pleases the listener with the memorable pop song âSheâs Alrightâ and the story telling âEasy Livinââ, arranged in a classic West Coast style. âWhy Did You Love Meâ is a melancholy ballad with beautiful backing vocal arrangements where Jackson shows his talent as a singer, composer and arranger. The Cajun-music influenced âLay Off Of Meâ and finger-snappinâ country-pop tune âIt Doesnât Matter To Meâ are the fun songs on this album and are followed by the grungy, wah-wah guitar loaded and sexy âGive Me Loveâ. The album ends with âHow I Miss Youâ, a melancholy love song, which shouldnât leave anyone with a heart untouched.
All of this adds up to a well-crafted and elaborate album, assembled by Jacksonâs skill as a songwriter, musician and vocalist. It is to be noticed that Jackson released a true one-man-band album, allowing no one but himself to ever lay hands upon his work, which lead to this unique creation. Composition, arrangement, programming, recording, instrumental and vocal performance, pre-mastering and album artwork were solely done by Jackson in his studio in Vienna, Austria. Only for the last step, the separation-mastering process, he teamed up with mastering genius John Vestman in California, USA.
Since George Sanford Jackson is also releasing the album on his own label, fittingly named âForty And Overâ this release is almost like a new debut for the 45 year old artist.
Personal: Born in Aberdeen, Maryland USA in 1962, George S. Jackson spent his early years in Virginia and California before moving to Vienna, Austria at the age of six. As a child he started singing and composing his own songs on the piano and took professional piano lessons until discovering the guitar to be the right instrument for his style of music and to accompany his singing. During the time in high school and college, the artist had his own rock & roll bands, playing gigs in clubs, concert halls and festivals. The bands were locally successful, winning several newcomer band contests and touring through parts of Austria. After jackson's last band broke up in the mid 80's, he established a recording studio, composing and producing radio and TV jingles. His most recent project was the production of his own CD "Alright".

Wow, I am really thrilled about this album and honestly surprised not having heard from such a great artist sooner. Great songs and I like his style of music.

Imagine that you can find the sound of Eagles, Beach Boys and many others in the tunes of George and add to it that he does all the playing by himself and you get just as knocked out as I was. It´s absolute one of the best artists I´ve heard ina veeeeeeery long time. Great lyrics, great arrangements and a great voice. All in the package of one debut album. I can´t remember that I´ve heard any stronger act for years. If you don´t mind the word - It´s One Hell Of An Album. Buy It.....

ackson’s debut-album is a delightful experience, no matter if listened to casually while driving or attentively at home on a high-end speaker system. The album consist of ten original compositions, brilliantly arranged and written in the style of american roots-pop music. Down-to-earth rhythms, a vast amount of different guitar tracks and grand backing-vocal arrangements are the framework for these ten short-story songs. The whole production is a luscious and dense package, yet never sounding flashy and overproduced. And best of all: Jackson can sing and has the right voice to make those american roots thrive and prosper. Here and there one may detect a sense of melancholy, which makes one feel cozily soulful rather than sad. All in all “Alright” has become an astounding and beautiful album which I can truly recommend.

I like solid music with melody and good rhythms and this is what you get on this CD. Perhaps not hip, not in, not ultra-modern but well crafted and well played. Jackson has a great and most pleasant voice and is a vocalist who sings his songs with feeling and without any unnecessary frills. Jackson also did a fine job on the lyrics which are cynical, meaningful, mostly a bit sad and even funny at times. The songs on this CD range from Pop to Country and R&B to Rock. Well worth a try and a buy.
