Raised in L.A. and El Salvador, Heidi has made the Bay Area her home. Raised in tough neighborhoods, Heidi stayed away from the trouble by focusing on the arts; Heidiâs main passion singing. From the moment she knew she could sing Heidi knew she wanted to sing to the world. Told at a young age that music wasnât a realistic dream, Heidi silenced her soul and pursued ânormalâ goals to please others. Deep down she knew she couldnât and kept singing.
Being involved with the church helped her develop her singing skills. At the age of 7 Heidi was putting on shows at home and at her church. By the time she was 13 she wrote and recorded her first song. But Heidi was moved to El Salvador and was unable to pursue her musical dream. That didnât stop her; she started singing in school and eventually was the star of the school who sang at Christmas events and Fashion Shows.
For years Heidi contained her voice to only a few performances; weddings, graduations and her inner sleep. But every time Heidi saw a show like the Grammyâs or the VMAâs she questioned her life priorities and questioned if she had anything special to offer.
After being rejected by a popular TV show Heidi was motivated to pursue her musical dream. Heidi has stopped listening to the negativity in her life and feels its time that people listen to her positive message. You can hear her inner tears when she sings âAnd I Miss Youâ, a song about her grandmother who she lost to cancer. A nostalgic voice can be heard on songs like âMermaidâ and âRememberâ on her forthcoming LP. Heidi also has a playful naughty side and that can be heard on âNaughtyâ and âI Wanna Love You.â âI Wanna Love Youâ made it to #2 on Sound Click, the top 10 on Broad Jam. This enabled Heidi to start collaborating with other producers and fine-tune her music.
Heidi is now determined to share her gift and stories to the world. When you listen to Heidiâs songs you are listening to the soundtrack of her life.
