THE ISSUES Three guys who sound like ten, for the enjoyment of Millions! Based out of Atlanta Georgia, the ISSUES are a three piece, all-American hard pop/rock band whose influences include Green Day, Butch Walker, Iggy Pop & the Clash. Founded in 2001, the band has earned a well-known reputation for its bombastic live performances and well-received songwriting abilities - the result of hundreds of shows and an unadulterated rock & roll agenda. The ISSUES line-up features Wayne Vokovich on vocals & bass, Billy McNeil on guitars, and John Peterson on drums. Toward the end of 2002, lead vocalist & producer Mark Slaughter, of the 90âs metal band âSlaughterâ happened to walk in on an ISSUES show in Nashville, TN and immediately decided to work with the band. Slaughter produced 5 tracks on the ISSUESâ 2003 EP indy release entitled âRAWK!â The release received critical acclaim and airplay in the Southeast. To date, the ISSUES have garnered both professional and critical recognition. ISSUES membersâ notable accomplishments include: self-generated airplay in numerous markets, rotation On XM Satellite Radio, XM Satellite Radio - XM57 Top 10 most requested 5 months running (Feature Band) Top 500 in Billboard Magazineâs Annual Song Writing Contest, featured on numerous compilation CDâs and music Samplers, FATBIRD Magazine's 2005 Top 100 Bands In Atlanta, featured artist on EA Games NHL Hockey 2005, songs featured on MTV's Fraternity Life & Sorority Life & music on the Fresh Fish 3 surf video. The ISSUES recently completed their new EP with producer John Briglevich (Sevindust, Bowling for Soup, Outcast, Edwin McCain & Third Day) at his Sonica Studios in Atlanta, GA. The band will tour throughout the year in support of the release.
