Q: How did you arrive at the album's title?
Ian: I started in another country. But these songs hold no geography, so that couldnât have helped....They're all about things that suppose themselves to be timeless....I think that's about as best as I can answer that.
Q: Is there anything you wish you could change about the album, anything that you wish you'd done differently?
Ian: That's quite a question to be asking about a record that's just barely been printed. Even if I would have done anything differently, I couldn't have. If I had said that in the first place, it would bear repeating now.
Q: To what standard do you hold these songs?
Ian: I read once that a few of Hank Williams' songs had made their way into hymnals. I don't hold these songs to those standards.
Q: Is there anything you'd like listeners to know before hearing this album?
Ian: Knowing the difference between truth and fact would be a good start. Knowing any more than that might poison the well.
