Through the years- the groundwork and love for writing and hip-hop composition stemmed from listening to artists like 2pac, Arrested Development, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Snoop, Jay-Z, Ice Cube, Eminem, Dr. Dre and Heiruspecs. My most recent and meaningful influences are- DEEPSPACE5, Mars Ill, and Speech (from Arrested Development). I prefer these artists, because their content is edifying to the listener and they acknowledge the source of their talent- God. I like to keep my ear to new hip-hop and see how it's changing, (becoming more vulgar and shallow) and I listen to local hip-hop artists and poets when I get a chance.
