Crazy lo-fi electro weirdness for the strange-at-heart. All tracks were composed and recorded autumn/winter of 2000 in an "Altbau" apartment on Vereinsgasse in the 2nd district, Vienna. Recorded to cassette, the musical sounds are derived almost exclusively from a Roland PMA-5 and an Aiwa stereo lav mic.

These musical snapshots of mania and depression were the direct result of: being a foreigner in a new country, learning how to navigate through thick layers of Austrian bureaucracy and dialect, having the household water pipes burst (bringing the fire brigade and the army to the house, and plumbers then leaving giant holes in the concrete walls), falling cluelessly into love with a new friend, being invited into the rich art scene. It was a strange time. This is an album of creativity and freedom - a focus on daring musical ideas, rather than on audio fidelity.

This album has a wide, but selective audience. The MIDI sequencing is clever and daring... legitimate compositions mix with techno madness, and undeniable hits rendered with the most understated lo-fi production.
