KHUM runs on several radical ideas in the radio world: live local DJâs with real opinions, wild music diversity throughout the day, and no playlists.

We consider ourselves to be very lucky to spend our days hand-picking music for you. The performances on this disc not only honor the artists we love, but our undying devotion to live music, both on-air and on-stage.

In addition, there is nothing we like more than having musicians playing live in the studio. Live radio is dangerous, and you never know what may happen. This collection represents a few of our favorite on-air moments.

Weâve enjoyed the company of these artists just as much as weâve enjoyed their music. Hopefully youâll get a chance to go see them live. Itâll be worth it.

Proceeds from the KHUM Blend benefit âStop The Violenceâ, a fund administered locally by the Humboldt Area Foundation. This money is then distributed to a coalition of local non-profits devoted to reducing violence in our community.
