Welcome to BONDI!
Aussie singer/composer Krysalis's first release is a combination and merging of many different influences.
Christine Fabri (aka krysalis) grew up in Sydney's beach suburb of Bondi in the late 70s. Back then it was very working class!
Her Italian parents migrated from Rome in the 60s as part of Australia's push to bring skilled migrants to this land of opportunity.
Credits so far: 12 years plus live performance experience. Last 5 years composing, recording and producing original material. Private audition with INXS for their Rock Star show March 05 (didn't work out but WOO! what an experience!)
She's played with some of Sydney's most talented musicians. Full writer member APRA/AMCOS. Airplay on Bondi FM and 2 Triple M radio stations in Sydney.
Having an IT background Krys doesn't see herself as your typical female artist, all tits and ass and no brains!
Quite the contrary...it's GIRL POWER all the way!!
Krys believes you can be sexy and not whore-ish, passionate and empowered, not mindless and uncreative, having to depend too much on sleazy industry types.
Krys is an exceptionally intelligent woman. Yes I scare most men away, she admits. A major techie having built her recording studio from scratch and has worked for audio giants such as Dolby Labs. All her songs are composed and recorded here in her Sydney home studio and produced by Krys as well. Her musical talents exceed just vocal ability! She is also a passionate lyricist and multi-instrumentalist, playing bass, guitar, keys and quite adept at drum programming. Recently, Krys has started to dabble in video having recently filmed and edited 2 clips for her debut CD Bondi Soul. Talk about a truly creative artist with ability! In true Aussie fashion, there's not much Krys won't 'have a go at!'
