There's been days. Hell there's been strings of days...when the best isn't even close to good enough. Waiting out the rain behind a truck stop, piling up the detritus of a busted love affair in the middle of the floor in a strange new apartment, standing at a grave staring at a box full of broken dreams as it slides below the dirt, coming face to face with somebody you thought was under your thumb...a LONG time ago...and seeing them strong and free and in love with somebody else.

Yeah...you've been there. It ain't your LIFE...but it's damn-sure a constant companion as you do all that stuff that IS your life.

This album isn't therapy. This album isn't a cry. This album is a universal translator. You may only need one song off it. And that only once in your life.
But if you DO need that one song, that one time...nuthin' else will work.
