M.A.D. At the âAqua-Turbo-Bandcontestâ, one of the biggest contests in South-Germany, the band won the first place in the category âbest regional bandâ and the second place as âmost popular bandâ at the same time and at the mega event âRock For Asiaâ they had the honor to perform and stand on stage with stars like Bonnie Tyler, Doro Pesch, âEdguyâ, âSaxonâ and âBonfireâ.

More and more M.A.D. gets offers to appear as support act for national and international stars like âLakeâ in the last year, the German âStar Searchâ winner âELLIâ or for âBonfireâ at a concert of their latest tour. Meantime the band has become one of the most popular ones in the music scene in the region of Ingolstadt. This is not only proved by the lots of good press articles, but even by the fact that the formation had several interviews at the local radio and TV-stations âRadio Galaxyâ and âIN-TVâ.
For their first publication of their song âLife Ainât Fairâ on one of Europes leading newcomer compilations âHitpack Fresh Vol.7â, they had been chosen out of nearly 400 applicants from all over Europe. The release of the compilation was accompanied by an internet-voting with that the Band won the vice-titel of the âNewcomer Award Summer 2006â! Moreover a Video with two songs of them was published on the DVD âClub Gigâ that comes with the Magazine âSoundcheckâ in the edition of April 2006!

With the release of their first album (M.A.D.) in March 2007 theyâre showing that they have the power to convince not only on stage. Quite in the style of the 80âs the sound of their first album is a combination between AC/DC, ZZ-Top and Dio, which is mainly caused by the voice of their lead-singer Jochen S. Between times memories of Accept, Mötley Crüe, Guns ân Roses or Metallica are coming up and thatâs no surprise because the members of M.A.D. are logically influenced by their idols.
