Details:
Bryan Lisa treads a fine line between folk music, rock & roll, and blues - where intelligent, honest, and sometimes bitter lyrics meet unforgettable melodies. Bryan is a singer/songwriter from the heart of Central New Jersey, where his vast influences can be found buried deep in each of the tracks on his debut CD, "Skeleton Keys".

"People have told me they hear everything from Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and Bruce Springsteen to David Bowie, Lou Reed, and Radiohead in my music. Who am I to tell them otherwise? All artistry derives from something else. I'm honored to remind people of [those artists]..." Bryan states.

Born in a South Jersey suburb of Philadelphia, Bryan was brought up as a lover of all music. He was a pianist at a young age, but discovered the acoustic guitar when he realized that pianos are a.) not portable, and b.) not as easy to play Stones' licks on. At Penn State University, Bryan began his performance "career" at an open-mic night, where he accompanied his poetry with an occasional G or C chord. After a strong ovation, Bryan finally got serious about his songwriting.

At 27 years-of-age, Bryan has sometimes been referred to as "wise beyond his years". "Skeleton Keys", self-released in May 2005, brings his eclectic songwriting styles to traditional themes. One can hear his many different influences in the 10 tracks, where every song is a key that can open many doors.

Bryan currently plays and records with a Takamine acoustic guitar, a Fender Stratocaster, and Hohner Blues harmonicas.
