Michael Bernier's songs are a rare gift of natural, mesmerizing beauty. Maybe it is his Massachusetts roots, his entranced eyes or perhaps the coming together of his inspired vocals with his driving passion for acoustic guitar that sets him apart. Born in the late 70s, Michael comes from a musically driven family. He first picked up the acoustic guitar in 1990 and has held it within arms reach ever since. Playing until his fingers were callused and his voice was lost was just another day from that point on. Solo performances in smokey bar rooms and gloomy night clubs combined with late night singing by countless bonfires on the southern California coast aided in his success. Original songs Awaken Me and In the City have shown that there is a place for Michael amongst songwriting greats such as Jim Croce and Van Morrison. From the New England cold to the California coast Michael has displayed his unrestricted emotional connection with music, time and time again.

His self titled solo debut album, released in the summer of 05, which sold over 15,000 copies worldwide, has proven that his name is not one that will be easily forgotten.

Recently, Michael orchestrated a full band consisting of Acoustic Guitar, Piano, Backing Female Vocals, Bass Guitar and Drum Kit. The new group 'Michael Bernier & The Uprising' has generated a vast following in the New England and Southern California areas. The release of their first album, titled Live at Phoenix, has displayed the dynamic musical variation that Michael possesses. Since the albums release in January of 2007, 18,000 copies have been distributed worldwide.

Currently working with Evolvement Music, Michael Bernier is scheduled to set off for an East Coast Tour in Summer 2007 ......................................................
