Cellist Patricia White combines her strong classical expertise with her intense love of traditional hymns in this uniquely beautiful recording.

A graduate of the Juilliard School, Patricia made her solo debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16. She is a working classical musician with strong roots in the church.

This recording contains familiar and beloved hymns such as "Holy, Holy, Holy" and "Amazing Grace", played by the cello alone in layered parts.

It also contains popular classical selections such as "Meditation from Thais" and "The Flower Duet from Lakme", in which Patricia pairs with violinist Tamara Ringas, a sensitive and skilled musician who is a graduate with a master of music degree from Indiana University.

Both musicians play on fine, rare antique instruments. Patricia White's cello is a French instrument made in 1721, and Tamara Ringas' violin is an Italian instrument made in 1750. Their blend of sound is gorgeous.

Finally, other selections such as "I Need Thee Every Hour" and "Nearer, My God, To Thee" are played by cello with piano accompaniment. The accompaniment is provided by Deborah Wilson. Deborah is the church pianist for the First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN, which has a membership of thousands.
