Someone once asked Pete and Mike what genre their music fell under. Mike started to say Beach Rock, but stopped himself when he realized that not all of their songs could be considered as such. Pete said reggae and was immediately slapped by Mike for his shortsightedness. Nursing the upside of his head, Pete tried to come up with a better answer but could find none, because he realized that Pete & Mike are a little blend of everything. It's hard to reserve a spot for Pete & Mike in one particular genre, so for now, their music is untamed. With all the creativity that goes into producing their music one would be so inclined to assume that they could easily come up with a more interesting name. Good Lord. But thankfully, when you hear the music, you will overlook the bland name because the band really knows how to rock. The Pete & Mike band just wrapped up their first Cape Cod summer tour with over 25 shows including appearances with the Old Silver Band, Lucy Vincent, and Contruda. They are currently in the studio for the fall and winter of 2006-2007, but when Pete graduates from college in the spring, the band will unleash a tour that will rage through the summer right into the fall. They'll play at bars, parties, weddings, beaches, office buildings, barnyards, stables, baptisms, and funerals next summer. And then they're planning a New England-area prep school and college tour throughout next year so look for them at your school as well.
