Poppermost is a freewheelin' indie pop music cartoon band based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have been named Best Local R&B Band by Las Vegas Review-Journal's Readers Pick for the Best of Las Vegas 2007. Las Vegas Weekly's annual music issue listed them as one of "Our picks for the best bands." Poppermost has amassed numerous awards and accolades for their music and skills as seasoned musicians, songwriters, and performers. Suddenly, they are a trio of high-flying cartoon birds whose sole purpose is to "capture their ears, one song at a time." Hold on here! What happened?

The change happened just before Poppermost emerged from Trimordial Studio with their third full-length album. The eclectic pop music diversity of Bitter Suite Swan Songs shows a wide and rich musical palate where power pop, choirboy harmonies, and orchestral passages rub shoulders with rock and biting folk music social commentary. The album also showcases some of the best Poppermost productions written to date. Like their debut album, the team of Alex Oliver and Roy Al Rendahl mans all switches from writing and arranging to recording and production. So, why not celebrate a new album with a new drummer, some swag and a tour like other bands? Why not capitalise on "the moment?"

"A band isn't the only marketing tool for music; itâs just the most obvious," says Alex Oliver, musical director for Poppermost. "We work hard, but believe in having fun in the process. That included deciding how to close the distance between our love for music and the necessary good of marketing that music. Mixing our love of 60s and 70s cartoons with the music we created was the perfect way to be done with doing things the 'normal way.' Now we concentrate on the fun of 'catching their ears, one song at a time,' and leaving our fans and friends with a smile." We'll let our characters (Lex, Ms. Tex, and Royal) be the performing band.

Starting out as a duo on July 4, 2001, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alex Oliver joined forces with bassist and audio-graphics guru Roy Al Rendahl and freed themselves from a garage band in order to perform original music. During their first 5 years, they turned in hundreds of blistering live performances. They have released 2 critically acclaimed full-length CDs (the mellow acoustic self-titled debut and the daredevil power pop of Absolutely Sonic) and numerous CD singles and extended-plays, which quickly became regional "must-haves" for flocks of indie pop music lovers. They also earned airplay on commercial and Internet radio while earning great reviews from the press and fans.

Poppermost is determined to win the ears of their fans as the band continues to increase their radio and Internet presence. As Jarret Keene of LVâs CityLife says, "Can't stop Poppermost!" No matter where the journey takes them, or in what form, Poppermost is working to make their own significant mark on pop music history.
