Rictus is born from the meeting of François Leclerc and Jérôme Labonté in their former trash-funk band called Waffle House Band. After winning a music contest and recording the single EP "Downtown EP", the band disappears by spontanious combustion and Rictus is born from its ashes soon after. Many members joined the Leclerc-Labonté duo until they gave birth to a demo called "No more Cold Coffee". With Maxime Boisvert at the bass and David Tremblay (Lady Gonzalez) at the drums. They start playing in Quebec city in 2005. The band then suffered a couple of mutations to reappear with the juicy fretless bass of Jean-Sébastien Potvin, the delicious piano of Monique Ricard and the dynamic pigskins beater Alexandre Renaud(Big Fat Cake). They are now proud to present you the fruit of 3 years of songwriting in this fabulous record : " Cold Coffee Chronicles "
